These patented exterior energy-management cushions compress upon impact to protect both the child and adjacent passengers in the event of a side impact crash. Unlike vehicle air bags which inflate, the Advocate side impact cushions are designed to manage the crash forces by compressing upon impact while safely expelling air through strategically positioned vents.
